Simple Snacks to go with the Alphabet: ABC Snack Guide

Ultimate ABC Snack Guide! Perfect to use while learning the ABC’s, Phonics, The Letter of the Week or just for FUN!

2015-08-24_09.30.51 (1)

Our Homeschool Preschool learns the ABC’s ONE letter at a time for ONE week. We love The Letter of the Week!! I first got the idea from LetteroftheWeek.com. Since then, I use the same concept but my own ideas, crafts, lessons, etc. It is so much fun to teach my kids using this method! Each week everything we learn is ALL about the letter that we are on…including our SNACKS! Now, snack time is used to emphasize the phonics of the letter that we are learning about!

Here is my ultimate snack guide that I will be using for our Homeschool Preschool this year. Each snack correlates to a letter in the alphabet in some way. Some letters are extremely difficult to find a food to go with it so I had to get inventive!! If you do not have a snack that starts with the letter that you are on, have the kids make that letter out of the food you already have. For example, use M&M’s, chocolate chips, pretzel sticks, fruit pieces, popcorn, etc. to make any letter you want! Incorporate it into your teachings to create a simple & fun lesson that the kids will love & gobble up afterwards!

{I usually buy my snacks when I am doing my regular grocery shopping, keeping in mind the letters that we will be focusing on for the next 2 weeks. That way when we start that letter, I have the snacks on hand & ready to go}
